Expand Renoise's capabilities with the Piano Roll Editor! This additional software demonstrates another of Renoise's not-so-well-known capabilities: programming and the use of advanced editing tools. Please, contact the author to get your personal license for use. The PRE program is distributed in 64-bit XRNX format through a "Demo Version", free, so that anyone can try it and through another "Full Version", which requires a personalized use license. The "Piano Roll Editor" or also called "PRE" as an abbreviation is a tool for the representation and advanced editing of notes for the DAW Renoise (current version 3.1.1 of 64 bit), It is a piano roll arranged vertically with a top control bar, an intermediate grid for the roll and another bottom panel that represents a horizontal virtual piano, along with another smaller mirror piano on the top of the roll. Preferences: "OSC Server", timers and colors. Live recording of the notes with the MIDI input.

Modify volume, panning or delay values in groups. Simple editing of notes: insert and edit on the roll. NC and TR modes, compact modes and access to Preferences.

Renoise manual driver#
The resulting Renoise driver has more and slightly different features than the default Reaper driver.

Fortunately Reaper’s driver Code is open source, so I used it as tutorial and as a starting point. Thus I decided to develop a driver using the new Renoise LUA scripting interface.īeside Renoise I also use Reaper DAW which already supports Faderport. Unfortunately there existed no Renoise driver for the Faderport. Renoise is a digital audio workstation (DAW) and Presonus Faderport a nice DAW hardware controller providing a motorized fader.
